Welcoming Zach Chandler as Community Coordinator of HELIOS Open

We are pleased to share that Zach Chandler will be serving as community coordinator of HELIOS Open for the next year.

Zach currently serves as Stanford University’s Director of Open Scholarship Strategy, and in this new part-time position, Zach will be responsible for supporting the HELIOS Open community as it works to advance open scholarship recognition, rewards, and resources. Along with Zach serving on the HELIOS Open Member Advisory Committee, Zach will be working closely with Geeta Swamy, HELIOS Open’s Strategic Lead, to help drive the initiative forward.

Despite the current challenges in the higher education environment, HELIOS Open leaders remain committed to rethinking research evaluation to better incentivize and reward openness.
